Alstonville water polo's Dane Mortimer, Nick Stanek and Jack Barratt competed for Queensland in the East Coast Challenge Tournament.
The boys were selected in the Queensland squad after the Alstonville U14 team won bronze at the Queensland State Championships in December 2008. Dane played for the Queensland A team at the East Coast Challenge and won a Silver Medal. Nick and Jack were unlucky to lose in the bronze medal playoff for the Queensland B team against NSW B.
